The study of speech and communication in preschool children with autism spectrum disorder

Introduction At preschool age, children develop all the speech functions, including planning function, which allows them to think through future statement. Researchers find a link between impaired ability for forecasting and anxiety disorders, as well emotional disorders. Objectives identifying specifics of in with Methods study involved 48 children: 24 age without developmental Empirical examination was carried out using “Prognostic stories” technique. Results Children autism spectrum disorders often have may manifest stereotypes speech, appearance echolalia, many do not use communication. Among functional characteristics forecasting, cognitive function has statistically significant difference (t=4.165<.001). having difficulties social interaction, can choose ways action that are suitable existing situation. Children’s forecasts usually short-term, invariant, generalized minimally verbalized. Conclusions Indicators speech-communicative confirm presence verbalize information, however, they realistic vision focused on following norm.
